Packed with new technology, the new RS+ delivers a premium experience for the ambitious rider demanding a true top-performance product.

Combining the core DNA of the RS with our innovative lightweight Dynea Tex material, the RS+ is powerful, light, and direct.

The new XT Light strut material has been designed to reduce weight even further giving the right amount of stiffness yet allowing enough twist. The increased structural rigidity supercharges the responsiveness in the kite for an exceptional advancement in freeride potential.

RS+ Performance Features:

- Precision three-strut delta-hybrid freeride kite with an ultra direct feel
- Superior more durable construction with new lightweight Dynea Tex material
- Easy handling with powerful lift and massive hang time
- Ultra-stable light construction efficient in any condition
- Stiffer frame for optimum response

With a 30% reduction in weight and suped-up performance, the RS+ has been pimped to a shiny new level.

Denea Tex description:

“Utilising the strength of Dyneema kite lines, we’ve taken the same Ultra PE Fibers and woven them into a lightweight fabric to give the optimum balance between responsiveness and long-term performance.“

Sounds a lot like Cuben Fibre.
I assume they know and learned from the past…

hey there
Eleveight kites are pulley less?
On the website they say the RS+ is pulley less on the wingtips I didn't know exactly what they mean...

No it doesn't sound like that. Cuben fiber is a dyneema fiber laminate where randomly oriented fibers are sandwiched between two layers of plastic. You can argue if Cuben fiber or nowadays DCF is fabric at all.

But this one is: a woven lightweight fabric like Aluula etc.

Cuben fiber is
Dyneema Composite Fabric (DCF), also known as Cuben Fiber (CTF3), is a high-performance non-woven composite material used in high-strength, low-weight applications. It is constructed from a thin sheet of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE, "Dyneema") laminated between two sheets of polyester.
So a sheet of dyneema plastic with woven polyester plastic on the outside.

Interesting that twist was mentioned as that was one of the issues with the cuben fiber leading edges, they didn’t twist.

And Peter Stiewe of eleveight was very much involved with cuben fiber when he was with best kiteboarding.

It does sound very much like aluula being a woven product.

I wonder who makes it?

We’ve got aluula, hookipa cloth, and now dynea Tex.

They seem to be priced slightly under the SLS kites.
Little under 2K for a 12m so a bit cheaper then eg EVO SLS
Within 10-20% range of quite a few other brands all rounders.

Will be interesting to see how it influences kite performance.

The regular RS is a great kite making it lighter and stiffer can only help. I have flown regular Ocean Rodeo Roams and Flites and Allula versions there is a difference they are faster turning stiffer and lighter the lower weight makes them smoother since you have less weight tugging on the bar in gusts.

Of course the downside is the price increase. Airush and Eleveight are are more reasonable than Ocean Rodeo with the premium pricing. As these new fabrics become more common maybe the price premium will go down.

Where have you seen the prices? Haven't seen them advertised in any of the local distributors yet (though they did know the release was going to be happening soon)

This looks very similar to the Hookipa Material from Airush/Challenge. Ultra PE rings a bell.

"Developed in partnership with Challenge Sailcloth, the Ho’okipa Ultra PE leading edge and strut composite material is 25% lighter and 10x stronger than traditional fabrics. This allows for 50% higher pressure, creating increased stiffness combined with a thinner leading edge.
Ho’okipa Ultra PE takes a reliable primary woven structure and supercharges the material through the use of Ultra PE instead of traditional polyester fabric…….."
