I really like the concept of Soloshot but never pulled the trigger due to reports of shakiness from wind. If they could address that via image stabilization that would be fantastic. Hoping to see some reviews of the updated 3+ version soon.

Just received a reply from Soloshot:
The new SS3+ has not solved the wind shakiness. It's because of the bulk of the camera. The new system is smarter and more reliable, but in high winds, there would still be that shakiness. Sucks, because I understand that when the wind is pumping, that's prime conditions for kitesurfing.

It's weird that they can't handle high frequency vibrations yet. Digital image stabilization is not rocket science anymore. Drones can handle motors and wind shakiness very well, even the cheapest ones.

If shakiness is the issue why not build a plexiglass box around the camera to keep wind off of it?
I am surprised you got a response Toby - what always talked me put of a Soloshot 3 was the terrible rep the company had for customer service. I never actually bought one though - do you feel the company got an unfair bad rap?

With my Soloshot 2 I had an excellent service.
Many problems with the tags, and they took care of it.
Soloshot 3 I used few times, but outcome is that bad, I preferred a steady cam and jumping in front.
I wish they had an adapter so one could use their own camera…they have stabilization. No zoom though, but still way better than the SS cam.
One day I hope they figure it out, than it will be a hot seller.
