Hi Tux,
do not worry too much.
I have been down to the coco beach for a session or two and the conditons are not all that bad.
The lagoon is not all that large compared to others on the island, and the wind side onshore, but you will find it OK for kiting and launching by the golf course.
Hope you can find time to come and kite in different spots, I am on the northern tip of the island, aprox 1/2 hour from coco beach.
