probably mark shinn.
depends how to judge it.
batten passing in the air doesn't mean your a good kitesurfer means your a good batten passer. Should really do gymnastics or join the circus.

Hey dyke donkey, you seem to have got it in for the lad eh? considering your other posts in the UK.
For the record about 30% of Mark's new vid (Funk) features 'batten passing' so your argument is hollow.
I don't know who the best in the world is but to knock the world champ because he knows what to do to please the judges is pretty facile when even MS admits that his double champ year was achieved by luckily perfecting all the stuff the judges then wanted to see.
I'm no fan of the monkey dangling moves of today, but as everyone is keen to admit the difference between a newbie and a pro kitesurfer is about 2 months water tim and so it's easy to see why technical difficulty over visual grace and fluiity will win out in competition. Unfortunately, unless someone competes at a world level, no one gets to see what their up to so how can they be crowned - even by popular vote.
I still watch that old power trip tape and marvel at the smooth style of Lou and Elliot and wonder if anyone has really ever matched their combination of skill and style.......

but the other 70% is out of this world mate! Shinny must be the best at pissing about with a surfboard in flat water its his own art
as an allrounder I would concider it to be Vari or Shinny they can both do it all. (I do get the feeling young Aaron Can do anything well so he has to be concidered)
been debated loads and loads in the past never a winner.
(lou just cannot be the best anymore even though the dreamers out there may think so)

Sorry DUDES
The "BEST" kitesurfer in the world
is the one on the water
having the most fun.
Everybody else
is just small change
trying to get another gumball
to come out of the machine.
