Which Are The Best Wind Meters?

Need a new wind meter and wondering what you guys are using. If you can give me links to where I can buy the meter you're using, all the better. I used this one for a few years until I dropped it on a rock.

I have the Windtronic 2 and am very happy. Not only because it work no matter in which direction you hold it (vertical, upside down, etc), but is is also very robust (I keep chucking mine in the middle of my kite stuff and it never broke).

Is what god gave you: Your eyes, ears and the hair on your neck.....I find that wind meters are just a crutch...your ktie is not at sea level, why do you need to measure the wind down where you stand??? The wind is a complicated river and measuring it's velocity at the bottom of the "river" is a data point w/out much value, in my humble opinion.

Learn how to read the conditions where you ride, look at trees, whitecaps, other riders, windsurfers, sailboats.....don't buy one MORE Thing you have to keep track of.......wait, never mind, go out and buy the slick gizmos mentioned above, the shops needs your business.

I've never seen a ripping rider come to the beach and measure wind w/a meter.....just my $.02....

Hey buddy, the post is about what wind meter the guy should buy... not how he should look as his surroundings b4 kiting and learning to interpret how the leaves are moving and how long it takes a fart to reach the people downwind. He just wants to know which wind meter is the best. You don't care for wind meters and that's kewl, nobody is gonna hate u for it... tha's just my two pesos.

I have the best windspeed indicator IMO the Windscribe for testing the wind.
I used to have all the other brands.
I can tell you this is the most accurate indicator I'v had now for 2 years tested against others.

use a weather rock and then listen to what zgur had to say. Unless you're going to put that meter up 25 meters into the air, it's not going to be to precise. Also think about how it feels when you go different speeds with your hand out a car window, then at the beach you can feel the same difference.
