Dear All!
Im off to Egypt with the bird in Jan. We are going to the Nubian Village hotel in the Sharm El Sheikh. The beach / bay is called Nabq Bay. Does anyone know what the kitesurfing is like there, and what size kites i should take? I would appreciate any help on this matter!
Thank You.

for egypt i would advise you to take all you're kites with you as the windspeed may change very fast in a minute or 10 it can go from 18 knots to 8 knots
i've never been in sharm el sheikh though... (only el gouna - hurghada)

Not sure where is the Nubian hotel...
but if you look on my web site you will see the satellite image of where you are going.
The best place in Nabq I found was the Farouq hotel that is at the beginning of the beach.

if you´re going to Sharm, and want to kitesurf, then you must go to Dahab, approx 10miles north of sharm! A beautiful spot, called the lagoon!
Just grab a taxi or take the bus.

Sorry Preppie, I don't want to contradict you but better be clear then give wrong information!
Daab is 80 kilometers from Sharm El Sheikh and take about 1 hour with the car.
Dahab is the paradise of the Windsurfer, Kiting is only alloud in the lagoon that is a closed basin about 300 meter long per 150 meter wide. You can kite there only at high tide and is used by the local school for teaching so not very much room for riding.
I know that further north of Dahab, about 1 more hour, there suppose to be a very nice place, also in
