i am begining to do unhooked tricks.... do you think a suicide leash would be more efficient or would it just cause harm, i am using a flat kite so if i let go wouldnt the kite just depower at 12?
thanks!

Yes, use the suicide leash connection. People have been doing this since before bows and now with bows it's alot safer.

yup suicide style, though with a bow I dont think It can be called a suicide leash, since the bad aftereffects of a suicide leash are lost on a bow... BUT YOU CAN BRING BACK THE PAIN, if you want, id actually suggest it.
IF>>> your kite inverts often on you if you drop the bar on a botched unhookd move. maybe ur in the surf, or something, I dont ever remember whats happnd dropping my bar when unhookd since on a bow....must be the acid
IF>>>> your doing high handlepassses, or any boosted unhooked move
IF you answered yes to any of the statements above, put a stopper ball (SS makes a nice one) a non releasable stopper ball, so that if you drop the kite it loses some pwr, not all pwr, this will keep away inversions, and not drop you on yer head from 20 feet up

i agree with scklandl. I would put a stopper ball on the loop on a bow like the rebel. You want the kite to stay powered on unhooked moves cause if you lose the bar in mid flight the kite will slow your decent. If you are planing on trying handle passes you WILL lose the bar, and if the kite depowers all the way you will drop like a rock!
