I have a 14 havoc and weighs 72kg. I´d say from about 6m/sek - 8 or 9 m/sek.. it perfectly overlaps with the size 10.

12 knots... i'm getting easily this lowend out of my 14 (on a recoil 136). and i'm 90 kilos. i think with the right board you will go much earlier.

i ride on lakes though so this might be a helping factor as well...

Hey midal03,

I'm very interested in getting some feedback from you since we're about the same weight. I have a 10m havoc and am thinking of getting a 14.

How much overlap is there? Could a rider that weighs 20 pounds less than me ride the 10 while I'm on the 14?

Is the 14 fun to fly or is it too big to be fun? How does it compare to the 10? Do you ever get over powered on the 10?

What board are you riding?

thanks...

the 14 is simply a great low-end kite in my oppinion. I can ride it from 10-12 knots depending on the "quality" of the wind :-) I have ridding it on long lines (40m) in special stable weather conditions as well with only 4-5 knots at the surface and 12-14 where the kite was.

The steering on the 14 is surprisingly instant and direct, I really like how easy and fast it turns for its size at the same time as beeing pretty light on the bar. Actually the 14 somehow feels more direct than the 10 so if you like the 10 you will love the 14 as your light wind kite!

A lighter rider can easily ride the 10 while your´re on the 14 but on the 10 only a kid will get going as early as you

I have made a review of havoc 14 (in danish) with some pics and more here:

best regards

thank you very much Thomas. I have a friend from Denmark that I'll get to read your page with.

what' the maximum wind you'd use the 14 in? Do you weigh close to 70 kg? Do you have the 10 as well?

I'm considering the 14 and one smaller than the 10 (the 8 or the 6 - haven't decided because it's for me to share with another rider)

thanks:-)
