It seems that we have similar problems

I'm using those glasses since then and I'm very very pleased.
To be honest, I even use them when driving my car... they also solve the sun-coming-from-the-side problem.

Half way through my session I have to take them off because I can't see well enough through them. Too much in the way of fog and water droplets on both the inside and outside of the lens.
This is exactly the same reason why I can't wear them (despite owning a pair and despite being concerned about >30 years of UV exposure from surfing & kiteboarding). I just can not tolerate the loss of visibility due to fog and worse yet WATER DROPLETS.

Water droplets???? Fogging up???? C'mon, you Padawans! You don't need crystal clear eye sight! Use the Force! What d'ya think we've been teaching you??? Now, get in line, put on them glasses, and get out there kiting!

If you ever watched me kite with crystal clear vision you'd never suggest such a thing. Civilians avert their eyes as it is. Mother's don't let their children watch.

Interesting. The wife's been wearing safety glasses as sunglasses. I've got a very similar model I recently tried as kiting glasses. Next time out I'll try putting the dishsoap goop on them.

Water droplets on the glasses ... something you just get used to.
Fogging ... the wind clears up fogging. Try a smaller pair of glasses that doesn't wrap around.
Retainers ... Chums work great, even going through the rinse cycle at Waddell.

Since the man who started this thread seems not too concerned with appearances but more with functionality I would suggest he try wearing this apparatus for maximum efficiency in eye protection. Ya know, added bonus is visually I think it works pretty well with spork, too. You could probably even stick your epurb on it and maybe even your blackberry. I dunno.

I'm liking the look. But sadly my "Blackberry" is actually a Motorola Nextel phone I picked up on ebay for $4.00... including shipping.
