hey im hoping to go to egypt at christmas and was hoping for information on wind and kiting spots. there seems to be a few places, which would be best at that time of year. 1.safaga, 2.hurghada, 3.el gouna, 4. abu soma, 5.ras sudr, 6. nabq area

Check windguru archives.
Been to El Gouna 2 times, late Nov and early Dec. Wind is fickle. You can get lucky, or not much at all.
Guru archives confirm my experience

I was in Ras Sudr about 3 weeks ago and the wind seemed to be tailing off. Fantastic spot though.
I'd imagine you'd be better off going to the resorts on the other side of the Gulf (of Suez) and getting as far south as possible.

Hi,
in this time of the year, ie xmas, I would rather go more south in Egypt. Consider Lahami Bay, next airport is Marsa Alam.
The windsituation down there should be much better than in the Hurghada aera.
I was there and I really enjoyed it.
