How have the kites evolved , I'm sure they turn faster relaunch quicker and jump even higher.
Although I like reading your posts tauts and enjoy riding Naish kites I to would like to know your association with Naish as you seem to be always there when they have their demo days for all the Naish distributors around the world.

Aloha,
FYI. I don't work for Naish. Never received any money from them. Actually i am not involved in the industry at all. There is nothing weird about this. The guys in the store in Kailua told me there were a meet, when I went in to buy some screws...I mean if I can try out some new gear, I don't need too many excuses..I paid my own tickets...maybe I'm a "cheap date" for them, but I don't care I love trying new stuff.
No doubt I am a fan of the gear.
In terms if how it evolved. I know what you mean with the faster turning however there are some major changes in the lineup. The Helix is very different for sure.

Moving on.
What I could get out of it; there are some changes to the lineup. Lots of new surfboards, quads in different shapes, and some really nice looking wood surfboards (fish and gun)....in addition the TT boards seemed to have changed. I tried the thorn and haze....I must say though the full carbon thorn was really nice super light (and so..now I understand the points about weight
The Thorn also seems to have less width for the same lenght.
The Helix seemed like quite a bit lower aspect and it seems to be less flat. One of the biggest improvements I think was looping and the pull through the wind window. Still is an excellent jumper and hang-timer, but the handeling is more evolved, more predictable in a way.
Anyways here are some more pics. (shot with the Canon G9 if anyone should wonder).

I saw the Torch there...some guys were pulling off some nice kitelopps on it..lot of fun to watch really good kiters...I didn't try the torch though. It was on my list, but I never got around to it.
The one with the start is the new helix...and yes I'd say it is a performance kite. I'd be super stoked to try it in waves.
I'll look though the pic to see if I have any of the Torch in action.
btw. did you get a waterhousing for your G9? I have one, but I didn't take it diving yet (soon).

I have the Canon WP-DC21, And I tried it in the waves and was ok! (head-height-waves)
No water got inside. Once I dropped it in a wave (leash broke due the power of the wave) and I could easily find it cause it floats
.
Now I'm looking for a case for my 5D, but they're very expensive.. I'd like to have this one:

yup the pricing of the SLR housing is the reasong I got the G9.
I found this of a guy on a torch..didn;t get much of the kite though.... Damn it is hard to take a good picture of someone who jumps. also they were jumping quite far out, so the quality isn't all that...(sorry about the saturation on the pics...sometimes I can't help myself
...
Oh, and the bars have been upgraded...better, more pronounced grip got a center swivel, bigger floaters, and a little stiffer rubber ends.....but still the same principle bar as last year.
