I think Nico is right. the attention span of kids makes a huge difference when teaching. i have been teaching for 6 years and have taught many young kids, and no two are the same. i have taught 10 year olds who are really attentive and patient, and i have taught 13 year olds who are a pain in the ass and won't pay attention for more than 30 seconds. you have to adjust the lesson to each individual. also try to keep it interesting because there is a lot of important safety rules they need to learn and for most kids that stuff is just boooooring. some kids do well with their parents teaching, others don't want to listen to their dad and are better off with an instructor. good luck! :thumb:

Hello guys,
I have been watching this post since my son Cameron is one of the youngest Kiteboarder. He just turned 6 14 days ago.
One thing for sure is that you don't want to push him if he doesn't want to. Also be very careful on how much kiting he is doing because he is still growing and you might hurt his bones or ligaments. So make sure you don't have him out there more then 40 minutes a day and 2 to 3 times a week.
6 years old is too young but Cameron is different. He has been kiting with me since he was a year and 1/2.
Any way if you are more interested you can contact me at dimitri@eclipsekites.com
I will be happy to help you. :thumb:
