I swear to GOD, the next person who argues the safety of a bow, 5th line, or tea rag will die.
I do not care if your Volvo has a full 5 star crash rating, driving into the wrong lane in front of a semi will not end well. Or your Ford, Honda, Opel, Volkswagen, or steel cage.
Kites are designed to be safe in safe conditions. No company can claim with certainty that their kite will depower in 20 knots, let alone 60.
I agree Kevin could handle the situation better.

the weatherman got it right about going out in consistent winds and not tropical storms which are totally unpredictable.

After 3 years of popularity, Bow kites have proven to be reasonably safe.
But use poor judgement, and you will find out quickly that mother nature does not care what kind of kite you're flying.

oh dear.......i still do think a heavier vibe towards people like this on our beaches would prevent kooks like him trying these things, he's not even embarassed...the mans a disgrace and look on kitescoop.com they have posted his email adress (it works) post- (remember this kook hes famous) so we dont have to read your shallow and lame threats towards him whilst you are behind the safety of your computer screen..... i think its
kevin@kevinkite.org off the top of my head............................

Send Kevin $0.10 via paypal,
and say your 10cents worth directly to him.
I just did,
and directed him to these threads.

I think that Rick knows how to contact Kevin. I for one would be very interested to have him post his view of his accident and subsequent media blitz after having read this and the several others "dedicated" to him. At worst it would be amusing, at best it would be both amusing and he would admit his stupidity. Not counting on the second outcome but I do believe he should show up and defend himself.

The Florida boys need to post this jackasses picture at every launch and write "cut lines on sight". Let's keep the turtles safe from this guy. I love the dart board site!!!!
