Should finish shape in next week or so. Waiting for some carbon tape from Germany- so may not get to glassing stage until after christmas.

Well---I don´t know! Its been 32f since i made it and then i went indoors to skateboard and make boards.
Waiting untll better weather...Have high hopes for it.
Planning a "wave" board too- actually may be a race kinda board but more all-round.
Race board is earmarked for a "customer". I´ll make about 1 dollar an hour.
and, hey, jump in and make some yourself!

TomW,
I just picked up a Totora 5.0 WaveSkate, I'm looking to get started with some strapless riding , its an Epoxy board... I'm looking forward to riding it however like you the conditions are not making it happen.

What ratio to you mix up the epoxy and microballoons,
This was something I should have done on my board but was a little too timid to give it a try.
Beautiful work....

Xstream,
thats a cool looking board- squat and wide. Is it a board made for surfing a wake behind a boat? How do you think it will work with kitesurf side forces?
Microballon question i don´t really understand. I use ballon mix to glue layers of foam together, and fill small voids. I just mix it until it has a consistency that is like thick honey. You need to take into consideration the foams ability to absorb epoxy- it sucks the epoxy from the mix and the mix gets "floury" when you spread it thin. Then i know its too thick.
I tried priming the foam i use ( Divinycell H80) with a mix- did some lamination tests then peeled the cured glass off. The primed foam had considerably less adhesion- i could pull the glass off with my hands cleanly. Un-primed i could not peel off without ripping foam up. So i don´t prime the foam at all.

BTW, I glue in inserts and boxes with straight epoxy.
Carbon and other materials arriving this week from R&G in Germany. Can´t wait to bag it.
