Why is the new SRT a quad? I thought the whole idea of a quad was that it gave more grip so you could use a wider tail, surf it further back and hence use a shorter board overall. Most quads have swallow tails, bat wings, squash, diamonds, not rounded pins. I'm no expert so if i've got this all wrong please enlighten me. I hope sshot have not just followed the current quad fashion. I love my old yellow 5'11" SRT tri fin, it carves so sweetly i've not even considered changing to a quad. Does the '09 have a very different feel to previous models?

The new SST quad give's you total stability and control. Turns are going to super smooth and carvy; Not as snappy as the Tri fin but still loose in the tail. But if your ride strapless this board will be much easier to jibe then the older models.
For those that still want the Tri in a larger size the Ben Wilson Pro 6'2" is a Tri and will be the similar to the older yellow Tri's of the past.
