Do you know if anyone has ever kite-surfed across the north sea???

Not yet AFAIK , but was talking to a guy in October 08 at one of my local beaches who is currently training for a UK to Holland crossing sometime later this year ?

UK-Ireland done several times
you could try UK - Iceland
