2010 Ocean Rodeo Mako line up

Hi All,

I'm stoked to provide with your first look at our 2010 Mako line up! We've kept the highly successful Mako Freeride 140 and 150 models, and added two great new additions!





At the request of our loyal Crew following, I welcome you to the all-new Mako " Mini " and the Mako King. The Mini is for all of you jonesing for the Mako ride in a smaller, nimbler package, and the King.....well, it just may be the board everyone wants in their quiver.







In twin tip mode, the King works very well as a light wind board and goes upwind as well as your average 6’ directional. It feels very similar to the current 150 Wide, but of course requires more rail pressure to rip turns. In high wind you can rig 1-2 kites smaller.

The mutant set up ROCKS. Excellent performance in both light and heavy air (this will be my go-to board with a 4m Rise in 30+). Very fluid, carvy and smooth, yet you can slash turns as hard as you want. For the beginner/intermediate, this King will accelerate your learning curve in the surf/big swell like not other…....and for the expert jonesing for the right mix between a sick surfboard and a killer twin tip, it knows no limits. It even rides and jumps well backwards!

surf board look is interesting. Looks good but not my favorite graphic. That huge board known as the "King" looks like alot of fun. Probably going to be a bit out of my price range tho.
sorry for my confusion but are all the boards able to go into the different "modes"?

I'm a bit concerned about the flotation of the 130. Is it designed for very light riders?

I still ride the Mako 134x35 quite often and find that it does me fine in pretty much all conditions. Once you get planing the board does quite well in lighter winds, and I assume the new 130 would be similar.Oh yeah, I am about 150 lbs but know bigger guys who ride it.

Can't wait to try the new boards, especially the King (although I love the 140 I have right now!).

I rode a 150 yesterday sweat smooth board ripped upwind, great pop for jumps, one fin though took awhile to get use to.

Just got a report that the 130 X 35 is one very sweeeet board!
Now I just have to get my hands on it to give it a go.

I own a 140x40 (is it freeride or freestyle ? )

Would the 140 and 150 x 40 2009 have the same flex of 2008 models?

The Mini is essentially a scaled down version of the 140. It evolved out of requests from the Crew for the Mako ride in a small, nimble board. It will work well for lighter riders, but it was not designed them in mind. If you've got enough power in the kite more or less anyone could ride it - currently, it is John Z's new favorite ride (he's about 170lbs) - good luck prying it out of his hands if you run across him....

The 140 and 150 remain unchanged (graphics aside) for 2010 - no need to mess with a good thing.
