It's called shark trolling when your trying to get your board back on the south facing beaches of OBX

Imagine seeing hundreds of those shadows swimming by and beneath you over several days. Around sunset, some might start to home on you even if you were still up and riding. That was what the spinner migration was like down here a few years ago. Interesting time and no negative encounters at least for the kiters that stayed on their boards. Guys in the water look like all the other swimmers and surfers, somebody hear a dinner bell?

You should go in sometime (NB - under the right circumstances) so you can have a better look at them. They are beautiful, even the ones with bite problems, from being bitten.

I swam with the sharks in the Singapore Aquarium, right in the tank with them and the rays and all the other fish ... I believe they were (well-fed) Leopard sharks - big ol' puppy dogs, they'd roll their eyes in joy when I patted their heads. The rays were nosey, they'd come right up to your face to have a good look and get their tummies rubbed ... great fun!

Wouldn't want to be out kiting around Bull sharks though ...

Kiting with sharks??
Well if I am just cruising, I normally don't fall at all.. But I guess when I see some sort of shadow, my legs might get shaky.
And even if I stay on the board, I would not want to play the Chicken game with those fellas.

What they do to us is nothing, compared to what we do to them.
"Luckily" they are not as "intelligent" as us and will therefore be threatened by extinction.
