Dont think it does anything special, other than just being clean.
Here's what i did. Wanted a larger loop to add some length from harnass to the bar.
And then connect 1 leash to both rings.

mainly curiosity was the reason i ask.
it looks like there is no QR and the ????IDS line comes inside. maybe a nice big (that actaully works) swivel?

it looks like a stripped wainman, could be a prototype. at that evel of riding a QR is bad incase it releases mid loop/comp heat
