In Denmark on Wax On Tour (Just Strapless) is it some surfers how do the judge. Because they will have the surf feeling.
The judge here have never try kite so it is a far judgement!

do you have any footage of that?
i love strapless riding...the video of the pkra where youri starts talking about it...sucked big time in my opionion...
how can i make the "only strapless" on the tour?
i think is a good way to legitimize the surfing the straps limit the riding... and not everyone can do it but everybody should aspire to learn strapless is a light wind weapon (have the skill)!!!!

Why all the legitimize? For wakestyle, for surfstyle, for sail(triangle) style.
Do you all have some kind of inferiority complex?
Have fun!
And in answer to the strapless master puppet: I do not know

yeah i would be interested to know that..Prob a good idea to have done the asp judging course + be a a good wave kiter themselves and have a solid understanding of difficulty level /style flow..- trouble is that judge will want to enter! There needs to be clear guidlines regarding critial section riding etc.. - if u don't do that it is just a polularity contest - just like the big events when some unknown rider gets skunked because he is not so visible/ know by everyone and gets scored lower.
We had a wave nationals here and it was great - it got moved to another beach but we decided to stay and not worry about the comp- we scored an awesome side offshore 5-6ft session and comp got cancelled anyway until next day. The comp was rider judged - it maybe seemed to some a good idea in principal but a totally rediculous idea in reallity /retrospect - again a popularity contest and I don't think this will happen again! Rider judged reaaaally sux (unless you are known and popular of course but then it is a farce)
I respect strapped and unstrapped as for sure there are conditions where it is too bumpy to ride fast and powered (like tow) but what I think is really strange is having strapped and unstrapped together in the same comp. - Kind of wasting my time in my view.

Ahhhh, funny now how waveriding feels the plight of it's estranged brother freestyle/park kiting... Good, luck! I think you will need it. 10 years on and "freestyle" kiting comps are still a joke.

I would like to see the pros put the straps on and pull off the kgb off the lip reentry in the first half of the heat then step out of the straps to score a few pure wave riding points.
Don't kid yourself. Surfers will never respect kiters in the lineup just because they take the straps off. Because, they can't deal with the ability of the kite to catch more waves easier along with the speed & power.
It always comes down to the ego in the end when we all want the same limited resource.
