I'm going with Damo and I understand that Bryan Lake is heading down as well. I'm sure that the Bay area crew will be there in full force. Can't wait to do the slalom! The funny part about La Ventana is that you have to do well in the crossing to do course racing. I personally like it, but it will keep plenty of course race guys from risking a trip down if they might not even get to race once they get there. It's a bit like having to win freestyle to get into a wave comp.
It will be fun anyway!

I am 99% sure if you are a racer, bring your race board and want to course race, you will be welcomed. This is a charity event and the more participants, the better! I do believe that Alex Aguera did the course races even though he finished 20+ in the crossing. Es todo bien
Come on down to Baja and lets have some fun

You do need to qualify on the crossing in order to compete in the course racing - that's how it works. People have asked for exceptions to no avail - it's a great event and fun time, but a competition with associated rules. Just flying down with your raceboard isn't going to cut it.
Cheers,
Evan

Wasson, Heinekin, Pasquali, The Koch Brothers, and do not discount a couple of locals. There better be plenty of course racing to satisfy these fellas. It will be good to line up against Damo and Kent as well. Berney (Brian Lake is no slouch either).

The top 25 men and top 10 women from the crossing qualify for course racing so most of the top guys make it unless they have bad luck/gear failure... as McCrae said when a novice kiter went into the race area and dropped his kite at the start line a few years ago... that's racing!!!
