I received my new 2010 14M Screamer last night. First off, I must say that this has been one of the best purchase experiences I have ever had for anything. I have never met Dimitri before and have no affiliation with any kite company. My most ridden kite has been an 07 Waroo 15M for the past 3 seasons. I ride this when most people are out on 11s and 12s and I like it but it is about used up so I needed a replacement.

I emailed Dimitri and he quickly responded back and forth even thought he was in Aruba at the time. After numerous emails I decided to purchase the 2010 new 14 Screamer. Dimitri got it shipped the next day and even threw in considerable extra stuff for free-Awsome customer service! I received the kite last night and blew it up in my back yard. The construction quality appeared very good. I thought that the kite looked big as the struts stood straight up above my head so after I deflated it I layed the 15 M waroo on top of it. The Waroo is bigger but the Screamer has more of a C-shape to it and the struts stand straight up.

The wind was blowing a little this morning so I took it out to my local spot. I was/ am a little skeptical about the one-pump for repair purposes. I use a 10 gallon air tank to inflate my big kites and 10 gallons @ 125psi fills the kite and struts perfectly which is very quick and easy. The wind was about 12kt gusting to about 22 which is pretty normal for this spot. I normally self launch with the kite tethered which I did with the Screamer. It just sat thereon it's wingtip at the ege of the window. When I hooked in I could feel the kite had alot of pull but it didn't do anything funny and felt very stable. I rode for about 1 1/2 hours and felt very comfortable with it. It delivered smooth predictable power even in this this crappy gusty wind, It's way faster than the Waroo, and rocks upwind. The bar pressure felt good. I made a few smallish jumps and the kite was right where it was supposed to be. I really think I am going to like this kite alot. Hopefully tomorrow I can get down to the Gulf for some steadier winds.

Anyone thinking about an Epic kite- I give my strong positive recommendations. Thanks again Dimitri.

Good stuff Grant. And we're not the only ones that think Epic make great gear. SBC is a Canadian magazine that continually does exhaustive kite testing for readers a few times a year. The Renegade hit the list with some positive results! We got another dump of snow, so I'll be teaching on the Renegade Sunday, and I know the students will find it an easy to use performance kite!
