I'm thinking about picking up some ronix reliks or ronix divides to throw on my laluz 135 for fun.
Xenon guys out there. can you comment on if this board is strong enough to take the added force of boots? I'm a pretty big guy. 188lbs and I've got big feet (size 12 USA mens). let me know if you think boots is a bad idea for this board.
Thanks,
CJ
ps got about 5 hours straight on this board saturday with a 15m LF hifi. that was a little slice of heaven session right there. first time on the board and with that kite and I was nailing so many new tricks and really getting my pop and consistency dial on my current trick list.

I have been riding Fone boards for 4 years now.
I like to try other brands equipment as much as i can and have to admit that i never thought about changing to another brand until i tried the LaLuz.
Until The guys at Xenon showed up, no other brand besides Fone had the right formula for pop, speed, and comfort which gave unmatched performance no matter where you ride.
Especially with my Fu#@ed up knees and love for kiteloops, which don't go well together...
Xenon is the new kid in the block and the LaLuz IMHO is right on the podium.

Xenon is very new in the USA and feedback so far is spot on with what you are reading. I think I mentioned this elsewhere but it says a lot. We had one of our shop riders, who was also supported by a major kite brand, cough up some of his own $ to ride a Laluz instead of his free board for all the same reasons. He could land more tricks, easier and with less impact to his still young body. This coming from a hard core 17 year old trying to go pro! And yes, cosmetically these boards rock, but I think they should have called the Infra the "Jail Bird"
Demo a board if you get a chance!!!

hi guys,
what does the edge look like on these boards. from the photos, they look more rounded instead of the sharp looking usual snowboard style. can anyone get a pic of that?
thanks

the 2010 laluz had a squared off edge.
the 2011 laluz has a rounded edge that also appears to be a stronger material.

Here's a few images that show the edge profile. Let me know if you need some type of measurement. Edge reminds me of some Crazyfly boards. Note: fins are 2010 model on one of our demo boards.

hey zombie,
thanks very much for the photos. i have a custom rogue wave that i ride which i really like and it has rails like this, rounded and a bit smoother than the squared off snowboard construction boards.
has anybody ridden a custom and then this board, same ride? would the rounded off rails account for it's smoothness and ability to soak up the chop.
thanks

I have a 127 Rogue Wave Custom which is a very nice board. The Rogue has a looser feel, or least mine does. Lee can adjust that characteristic somewhat when he builds. I would describe the Rogue as more skatey. The Laluz is more precise feeling and seems to rail upwind better, without being catchy. I would also say the Laluz absorbs the landing better and is obviously not as fragile. Regarding chop, the thinner overall design plus the multiple material composite construction allows Xenon to really dial in flex in different parts of the board. I don't know exactly how they do it, but it works wonderfully. Lee, I am sure, can manipulates glass and foam to some extent to affect these same characteristics. Something else to consider, foam boards have a limited life cycle compared to a wood, or wood + foam + carbon composite. At least that is what Slingshot has been telling us. That is a main reason why they went away from a mostly foam core in the older Misfits, for example.

Just curious, I keep always hearing about the 135, how does the Laluz 132 behave in chops? Still good pop with smooth ride/landings?
Currently own Aboard Z-series, should be pretty similar board?
Btw great looking boards- love the B&W pics

hey zombie,
thanks for the info. i am going on three years with this RW and it is still going strong. more curious about rail shape and construction methods since these boards look to be a little different from what is on the market otherwise.
appreciate the 411.
