Does Anyone Kite Board this ? 37mi of Pristine Coastline !

Postby Bille » Sat Dec 17, 2011 6:36 pm

Watch the first 0:15sec, then fast forward to 2:22 min.
Some Awesome looking Coastline, not being used ; and obviously
there is wind, or the glider wouldn't go up !
The guy filming said it was Saturday.

Yes - awesome riding - was about 1.15 drive from my place in NZ. The kite buggying is even better than the kitesurfing - nearly 100km of hard pack beach to blast. There is one local rider that gets out there every day it is on.

Cheers,

DK

Hey SP - your profile says your in Hong Kong and mine says New Zealand - since we swapped locations we better update eh!

When you get the chance you should grab the truck and do a low tide mission along this beach to the north head of the kaipara harbour - there isn't a better place to kite buggy in the world!

Cheers,

DK

Hi Bille,

Why fast forwarding? I enjoyed every second of that clip. Unfortunately it is in freezing kiwi land. :nono2:

Maybe you like some aerial visions of my kiting backyard too? And there is more than 90 miles of that pristine coastline... :D

Luiz is the man who took that clip and flew the plane.

That video was Fun !

Ya got a Beautiful place to Kite & hang-out at !!

What camera & active servo do you use ?

Does it have Telemetry ? Name ??

The skinny white guy, (Luiz ?) at 0.12 was Cool
But
Can i see "More" of the Fly Girl at 0.12, Please ?? !!

You should have Him/Her fly & follow You, while your Kiting ,( one each side)
would make a COOL video !!

Flying down the Wave ; i actually Tried that with my Hobie Hawk
it went in the ocean. (sigh)

& He "Catches It" at the End !!!---------------------NICE !!!!
Buy your friend Luiz a cold Beer for Me.

Yeah mate. I have kited on all of those beaches and more. they certainly are world class.

90mile, 55 miles
bayleys beach 75miles(the dargaville run)
muriwai 30 miles
foxton 75 miles.

But all those places are shit compared to my local spot for waves. The naki is where its at!

ps don't go to brazil its too hot there ;)...

ps depends what you call cold. 20-25 Degree at the mo.

Luiz uses various planes and cameras, but mainly the Skywalker/Easyglider Pro and GoPro/Aiptek HD1/Jazz178.

Check out his website.
