The Evo is quite possibly the most versatile kite in the North range; a crossover kite that performs as well in the surf as it does for unhooking and throwing the latest new-school tricks.
Smooth, predictable power delivery and steady C-like bar feel invite you to unhook and push your new-school moves to the next level, throw massive kite loops or boost big airs.
The Evo also offers excellent de-power ability and quick, predictable turning and drift ideal for the more surf-minded kiters. Whatever the day brings, you will always be prepared to take advantage of the conditions. Whether you’re into stomping freestyle tricks, shredding waves, jumping, cruising or all of the above, the Evo’s got you covered!

The evo works nicely unhooked. It does not deliver such a strong pop as for example the Vegas, but it is a very forgiving kite and great for initial freestyling.
I have only ridden it on snow, but it feels like it will be very good in sure, I rode them in surf last year and the New kite feels just as solid. It can be trimmed to stall and float, On hills were the speed I go is about the same as the wind (like while surfing, the kite performs very simular in my opinion) It behaves very well, I just parks and follows me just like I would like it to do on a wave, This is with a 12m, I also have a Rebel 12m and it does this very well but I think the evo feels more relaxed, on the rebel I have to think a little more about the kite but it is very reactive so just a little input moves it around, While on the Evo I feel like there is less attention needed, but if I notice the kite isnt were I want it it is still easy to fly it over there, Last year the kite seemed to need more attention and feedback while surfing or going down hills and also being able to adjust the bar pressure is a treat since you can customize it.
The relaunch feels fast and positive like last years, I know it saved my kite several times in the big northwest surf and onshore winds here in the US.
