After years of kiteboarding and being asked numerous questions about the sport here are my top favorite:
- What is this? Is it PARA-SAILING?
- Where can I rent one?
- Is it hard in your arms?
- How much$$$$?
- How do you get down after jumping?
I am sure there are a lot of other questions, so please, post the one you were asked.

Usually when I talk to friends about kitesurf (who know what it is, but just dont see it everyday), they say "can you do a lot of tricks?".. always that question, and others just think kiting is windsurfing

Most common question regarding Flysurfer kites:
Do they relaunch?
The most common and the silliest.

You need a lot of upper body strength?
To be fair though I spent over 10 years bodybuilding before I started kiting so people tend to think my size is from kiting and not they gym.

- Do you have to be able to swim to do that?... Yup....Yeah? Ok, nevermind....
- Isn't the water cold?
- How do you turn around?
- How much does that cost?
- Where can I rent one of those?
- Oh, is it too windy? (as I'm packing up because the wind died)
- You must be really strong to hold on to that kite for so long.
- I've also had "Is that fun?"... my answer varies tremendously haha

Ah, is it inflatable?
Pretty silly question given the fact that people ask me that when they see me pumping my kite.

A few years ago, there was a wonderful thread on Kiteforum entitled "Is that a tent?" Most common questions from people on the beach were covered in that thread.
Here is the link:
