In Dimitri's defense i can say that when the kite gets wet in such light winds it is impossible to launch it again. And that a race board has a better low end than a SUP because of the speed that generates apparent wind.

I am not affiliated in any way to epic.

2 to 4 knots ? Never ever :nono:

The wind in the video is around 7 knots at least.

And, anyway it does not look like a lot of fun, if the kite drops on the water, you see what happens to the other guy!

For those conditions, a flysurfer speed 21 is much more fun! and it can be relaunch even from the water.

If I had $3,979.00 ($2,679.00 for the kite plus the $1,300.00 for the race board) burning a hole in my pocket I think I might buy a used fishing boat after watching that video

I am SERIOUS here :

You CAN afford a race board if that's what Ya want !!!

Go over to the Board Builders part of this forum and tell the guys
what Ya want ; there REAL Helpful over there. I'm gonna guess
that 100 hours of work and $300 -$400 bucks could net Ya a decent board
on your First try.

Stay with Fiberglass & a cheaper epoxy like West-Systems to keep
the cost down .
YOU ((CAN)) do it ... and it's More Fun to build stuff, than watching TV !!!

Bille

$400 bucks is mostly for the table & tools Ya need to start ; after
that it gets a LOT cheaper.
