Remind anyone else of a Nugget?
Definitely reminds the Nugget. Would like to hear a comparative review (not about the graphics please!).
Has this board anything to do with Firewire announcement of a kite specific (stronger) versions of the Sweet/Baked Potato?

Nope, they had one last year as well.
There are a lot of boards out there now, in the wakesurfer category, that I think will make pretty good lightwind directional kiteboards.
A guy showed up at a local spot the other day with an O'Brian wakesurfer that worked well as a lightwind ripper.
I'm using a Phase 5 Wakesurfer that is in the skim (teardrop or egg) shape, with a single 3/4" fin in back, almost no rocker, just an inch in the nose.
Waesurfers have models that look like skims, moels that look like surfboards and models that look like neither.

Lots of Good Words about the North Nugget and sounds like a good option for me. I can get one at a reasonable price from the UK. I dont usually care that much about graphics, but man, I find it so ugly and out of context, that I cant bring myself to buy it.

Anyone try the circle one 5-2 pintail?

I rode the slingy space pickle or what ever, flat bottomed board, not double concaved.

I think I can finally pose this question correctly…

If I get a Nugget, will it give me the same low-end as my Flydoor XL 170x50, but let me play in the waves more like a surfboard without nose-diving and smacking my face?

Or would I be better off with a light-wind/big-boy surfboard like a Dialer?

It's been 9 months since you posed the original question. When are you gonna' pull the trigger?
