I have 1.5 week of vacations end of September and would like to learn kitesurfing. I've already had 3 classes (now at a water-start). I live in Brussels.
Where can I go end of September, where it's still nice and warm? I was thinking of France (Atlantics - Biarritz? Nice?). Preferably where there are things to see, nightlife -- so not compltely remote beaches. Any links for kitesufring schools would be very welcome.
Thanks

Agreed still warm, windy and now a lot less busy in Tarifa. I run a school out there (so am obviously highly biased) but if your interested check us out at
http://www.TantrumKitesurf.com. Whatever you decide there are loads of great schools out here so you should find something to suit!

Thanks a lot! I'll consider Tarifa (although seems a pain to get there from Belgium..I guess with Ryanair to Malaga is the easiest).

Yes, in Tarifa you can find still warm weather and almost 100% wind. Take an easyjet or ryanair flight to Malaga or Sevilla and rent a car (take a look at
www.amigoautos.com or
www.booking-centre-online.com) and drive 1.30-1.45h to Tarifa

I'm now considering whether to go to Tarifa or Faro (Portugal). What would you suggest? I'd like to have several days of kitesurfing lessons but also some time to drive around, see the surroundings, nightlife. Is Faro a better location in this respect (seems there's not much around Tarifa)? Thanks!

Hi,
Tarifa is great for nighlife too! From Tarifa you can visit Malaga, Sivilla and many other beaches. I don't know nothing about Faro!
I LOVE TARIFA!!!

If you want to be quite sure to have wind almost every day, Tarifa is windier than Faro, there are a lot of schools (take a look at
http://www.ktstarifa.com/en/) and except for summer, you can find wide and empy kiteable beaches from Tarifa to Cadiz.
As said, in 1h you can visit Cadiz or Jerez de la Frontera, in 1,5h Malaga, in 1h45 Sevilla, in 3h Granada.
In end of september-october there is some nightlife during the weekend
