Postby stridgey10 » Thu Sep 26, 2013 6:36 pm

Hey, just lookin for some feedback or opinions from current owners of this kite on wind range, turning speed, boosting etc...... I'm lookin to purchase one.

Also if anyone has any negative points regarding the kite?

Cheers :thumb:

Great all around kite. Really nice wind range with a bunch of low end pull and easily lets you dump off the stronger winds. Makes it great for boosting huge since you can sheet out a bunch and then pull in to get lifted. Really nice in the waves due to the long depower lets you get on the face and let the wave do the rest with no pull from the kite.

Cheers for the feedback.......

Do you find the turning speed too slow or is it ok?

Any other nrg riders with some feedback??

The turning speed is fast. The only down side I found which happens in the lighter winds, so shouldn't happen with the 10 is if you choke it up on the back lines, you can get a little bit of stall. Other than that the kite is a fun time on the water.

Badasss kites!!!High aspect ratio makes them tear upwind, I had to do two tacks to my buddies one when I was chasing him upwind, me on a different brand. They boost huge, won the Huckfest here in the Gorge this summer, 1st and third place. Lots of power, they ride like they're bigger than they are. Only downside to me, I'm not a fan of pulleys: nevertheless they have a real solid feel and turn on a dime. Very stable for a relatively high aspect kite. Tons of fun, curious to see what they change for 2014, as the Envy had big changes this year. Anyone know whats up with the new NRG?
