Never tried a foilboard, but it seems to me that going faster + carving harder = higher jumps?
Interested in what foilboard riders have to say.

Forget about the ( How High ) part ; what's the "Landing" like ?
Is there this Major leverage or twisting placed on your legs
when strapped to the board ?

In 10-12kts my board easily reach 3-4m.
In 13-16kts - 5-6m
above 20kts - even higher :D
No surprise to see somebody reaching 10m +. Why not 15+ ?!.
Landing - no problems after first crashes  (if a drift's mount survives wrong executed landings).

The beauty about landing is a board does not touch the water. That's ideal landing.
So far a couple such landings accomplished.
I am going to practice it now.

Backlooping or multispins - no problem either :D

Great to hear you are jumping BraCuru, and I am sure your heights are not exaggerated.

Friends of mine doing the same too.

It is amazing how high they can jump in only 10 knots of wind, because the apparent wind is higher than any other type :naughty:
Only exception could be the AC72's - but they suck bigtime at jumping ha haa !

Race/freeraceboards were the highest jumping till now, in light winds - but they have been "smoked" by the foilboards, as they go both faster and at a higher angle upwind - so in low wind they can really kick ass in terms of jumping :thumb:

Still, I dont think it is very "natural" - but might only be a matter of getting used to ?
Dont know - but performancewise they are awesome.

The reason i ask is because my prosthetic will break if i land
wrong on my surfboard, (2 this year alone). I was worried
that that Long poll would add a Bad twisting moment because
i Need to ride strapped.

Billie, I had a friend long time ago with one leg. he had a prosthetic made for daily use and one to fit inside his whitewater canoe. It was only a simple pole/socket setup but held him in and secure very good. Too bad, he rarely could roll the boat, only in flat water, he quite often swam the rapids--only because of his lack of roll. He actually could paddle class 3/4 quite well! My point, he swam a rapid on the Pegeon River in North Carolina and lost his 'leg'. It was all over the internet that a open boater lost his leg in that rapid. Imagine the uproar! Two years later, a kayaker found his leg, eventually found out what it was and it was returned. a case of beer was FEDEXED....THE END.
