Would you check the weight of the Speed 4 canopy with bridals
so I could compare if it's worthwhile to update

Are you in Cali? Saw on the news this morning that winds are offshore along the whole coast of California for the next few days. Winds 30+ MPH in some places. Pretty wicked stuff.

yeah, what's up with this? They removed weight info on all speeds!
It seems to me, there isn't such a weight difference they promote

From what i remember the SP3 21 was 3.9kg =8.58 lbs
I think i remember reading somewhere that the Lotus material was 20 or 25 % lighter
Best estimate 3.90 - (20%) 0.78 = 3.12kg x 2.2 = 6.86 lbs....
..............or 3.900 - (25%) 0.975 = 2.925kg x 2.2 = 6.43 lbs
Take the average and we should be pretty close...3.12 + 2.925 = 6.045 x 0.5 = 3.02kg = 6.649 lbs
Kite only SP3 21 @ 8.60 lbs.......kite only SP4 21 @ 6.65 LBS
@ 2 lb less..@ 0.9 kg less

Armin Harich wrote:The weight of the Fabrics are.
Standard Fabric is apx 52g/m2
Deluxe Fabric is apx.. 42g/m2
Lotus Fabric ist apx. 33g/m2
It can variate 1-2 Gramm/m2 in production.
Overall the 12.0 and 15.0 SPEED Lotus 4 is exactly 300 Gramms lighter than a SPEED3 Deluxe.
We will measure the other sizes head to head the next days. Thanks, Armin
The weights just appeared on foilzone
But, SupaEZ if the
15m is only "300 Grams" or .66 LB lighter
So the 21m Lotus is Not going to give you the "2 LBS" weight Reduction
to play with your 2 knots in the low end

Here is what Armin said :
"We will update the final weights of SPEED technical page soon.
The weight of the Fabrics are.
Standard Fabric is apx 52g/m2
Deluxe Fabric is apx.. 42g/m2
Lotus Fabric ist apx. 33g/m2
It can variate 1-2 Gramm/m2 in production.
We also improved the unelastic stretch inside of the canopy dramatically. On top some Details inside are changed to get the best possible flying characteristic ant to keep that a lot longer over its lifetime.
Overall the 12.0 and 15.0 SPEED Lotus 4 is exactly 300 Gramms lighter than a SPEED3 Deluxe. We will measure the other sizes head to head the next days.
If they get wet or dirty, the difference will be for sure a lot more. To make the kite only light, would be easy. But we stay also for a product that keep value as good as possible, especially if costumers handle it with care. Customers should be able to fly it with fun for years.
Thanks, Armin"
