I generally don't care about the look or design ... I am all for the best functionality at the cheapest possible price (not so much because I am cheap, but the better deal I find the more toys I can get
)
I ended up with BWS kites and I appreciate their no nonsense style....one solid colour with a small logo and that's it. What I don't like is that the one colour is black. In the grey on grey world of west coast Canada in winter, this is not ideal for a rescue situation, or even for your friends to be able to see you are out ... nearly invisible. I'd much prefer hi viz neon any colour ... makes for better photos and videos too.
The next worst is the used ex school ones with JEEP in massive letters on top ... now that is an identifiable kite! But the price was right, so works for me. So there's a side question for the thread ... if you could get a price break for putting advertising on your kite, would you do it? How much of a price break? Maybe a business opportunity for some entrepreneur out there.

Yes I would...why not. I'd even wear my board shorts over my wetty and use a real leash if someone paid me....I'm a kite whore I know...

Haha that's one sick idea. You should launch a website to bring potential "savers" together with potential "advertisers". You might have just invented modern billboards...they could be all over the place soon.

Think it's been done already, remember seeing in one of those proper old skool kite vids someone saying they did downwinders advertising a local resturant accross his kite.

Its actually one of my favorite looking kites. So simple but so elegant. An eye catcher.
