Agree, with such a short fuselage and no dihedrals, no vert stab seems wrong, although possible of course :o

Seems like Helmut from Magma at the Canaries is shaping the next Gaastra foil, I'm sure that Gunnar knows more about it.. ;)

Nope! Me and Helmut were initially doing it, and then we got screwed by Gaastra so now we are doing it on our own.

I am currently working on getting the new Website (www.magmafoil.com) up and going and I am also on a shop tour at the moment.

If anyone is in the North of Germany, I will be at the King of the Coast with our Production Intermediate Foil this weekend.

Good looking foil Gunnar,

out of curiousity, do you have any flex or torsion numbers on the strut?
There's a thread on the french foil site describing the measurement techniques used to get the numbers.
http://kitefoil.forumactif.org/t1580-me

in a nutshell, mount the strut horizontal measure out 85cm's and hang 5kg to measure flex deflection.
similar for torsion, only you mount a bar to the fuse, measure out 30cm and hang the 5kg.

Good luck with the new foil!

I can only agree on the problems with yaw control having flat wings. We just had Lander to test our first foil and he had a hard time balancing it. Our next atempt will be the well known barrel shape. Hopefully ready this weekend.

nice looking package but $4100.00 US ( that would be more then to $5000 Canadian after shipping and taxes) for a complete package is way too much for my pocket book. Alex makes great products though..
