hi windfreak,
well here are some pics of my efforts, if i can get them uploaded.

IMAG1013.jpg
bonded the upper and lower of the rear wing together yesterday, nearly finished tidying it up around the edges .
But so far im pleased, its very strong and a lot of lessons learned on the way. now for the front wing, the mould should be finished tomorrow.

How do you guys think a north nugget (2012 so 21" wide by 5'0" by 2.5 thick with flat rocker and round template) would work for mounting a foil.

Any tips for reinforcing the mounting holes for a plate. I was thinking of drilling, inserting some fiberglass or PVC tubes and then glassing a layer of carbon top and bottom. I wasn't going to bother putting any high density foam in the bottom. think it is required?

I like the black spray paint, its a nice touch to the professionalism of production methods.

Jog on, Mango.

Someone has managed to make a foil in their spare time, you've not managed to produce a finished customer order.

Get back in your box, you jumped up arse hole.

Thanks Windfreak,
Yes I'll post some more as I progress, it's very time consuming as we all know.

I'm using resin infusion at the moment but might infuse the fuselage and vac bag reinforcement in side after infusion, that's my thinking at the moment but it's changing all the time lol
What I have learnt about making plugs with mdf is make the part smaller with mdf and build up with filler and pattern coat resin up to the size you want . Cos I've spent so much time patching up where I've sanded through into mdf ... It's a bitch.

Good luck with your wing dude

Cheers

Edge great job my friend... infusion is the way to get those perfect finishes in the carbon like you did... But it takes some skill to get it right for sure..

Keep up the great build and let us all see the final product

WHY DO YOU NEED TO USE OUR NAME TO SHOW YOUR SCIENCE PROJECTS?

THIS POST IS INAPPROPRIATE.

I APPRECIATE YOUR EFFORTS TO CREATE A VISION FOR FOILING. NOW TRY TO MAKE 400+ OF THOSE, IN EXCELLENT QUALITY, AS FAST AS YOU. WITH A LIFETIME WARRANTY AND BTW, THE T BAR IN ONE PIECES AND 100% CARBON.

Be careful dude. Your post is the one that comes off as inappropriate. Your name is only in the title in reference to the drama you in part have helped create. It has nothing to do with anyone comparing their work to yours. These dudes are not the ones tarnishing your name. Careful you don't do that for your detractors with sarcasm and negativity. A simple " that looks sweet dude" would probably have bought you more good will and done more your your name. I for one kind of hope you eventually hit a home run, but there is a reason you have detractors and the sooner you take an objective look at why that is the better your business and name will do.

Note the 2 cara posts, one nice small letters, although he was just adding a positive remark as he himself has shown black matt spray paint used.
Some hours later.... THE NEXT, CAPS ANGRY. And so far out of line!!
I wonder what a shrink would have to say if he or she studied all his posts?
And for the first time he claims 400 orders, I hope this works out for those who sent hard earned cash? :?:

Sorry wind freak, if you do not like what a tv channel is broadcasting what do you do? Change the channel, it is your choice!
Do not want to read about the cara soap opera simply do not read that post!
Note how he attacked you when you in a way you were tring to stop all the negitive talk about him.
This is very important to all the guys who have sent money so bear with it. I more than most hope it will be over soon!
Sorry to invade your post, I hope you will understand why.

I was once ripped off for 3,000 usd, sure wish someone would have alerted me before, consider that maybe guys here are just doing that! Nothing to do with this!

EDGE
GREAT JOB!
Please post more photos and how to info.
We always vac sack but are considering infusion and seeing your work adds inspiration.
