Tropical storm near S. FLA

Im looking at the wind forecast for this week. Looks like it should blow around 20mph or more between Monday and Tuesday around here in Miami.
I am still a new kiter on the early stages with basic skills.
How does it look like to you more experienced guys? should i give it a try or are tropical wind condition any more dangerous for a noob?

So far looks good but be aware that storms like this can gust really hard beyond the forecasts. If you do go out size on the lower end. Also, watch for weird weather stuff that can get messy beyond just raw wind and rain - tornados and such are possible.

Really not the safest conditions to go out in but I am looking forward to next week. I'll prob skip the peak of the storm on Wedn though as that will be the most dangerous.

Oh, and regardless of kite size, if the 40 mph (37 avg by 43 gusts) forecast comes true for Wedn, stay home - even with the right kite size the wind is crazy at those speeds, especially if you are newer.

Once you start to see weather roll in is when it starts to get sketchy, it can be a fun 15 mph wind one minute and a 70 mph burst the next. Just watch the weather, the wind can be great before it starts to get crazy. Some of my best sessions were right before TS Isaac and when hurricane sandy passed by

Yeah, before and after is good, during the storm is bad. This guy went out during the storm.

Amazingly he made a full recovery in a few days. He was very lucky!

That is a pretty ideal setup for a kiter, where the storm comes just close enough and then goes north. Wish I was there this week, there's going to be some killer sessions for sure!

Only bad part is that as the storm leaves it usually sucks up all the wind for a week or two afterward
