Just thinking here...I saw several times guys walking in the water for a while to get into deeper areas...would it be possible to do an expandable foil ?
Would anyone buy it?

Expandable as in on the fly? or set a certain height on the beach?
The former would be tough, the latter much easier...

Thierry Schmitter is developing a seated hydrofoil board and the intention seems to be that it is hinged at the back of the board and sits behind the rider until he gets out into deeper water.

Hi Toby,
I got myself confused by in what Thierry is doing with F-One and Sit-Kite and it was actually Christophe at Handi-Kite who was developing the hinged hydrofoil.
