BUT
instead of the silica ; use West systems 404 , high density filler , instead ,(it's Stronger).

And also
just before you mix in the filler, and After you mix the epoxy ; get some of that
runny, clean epoxy, down into the crack, and press it a bit , (several times) with your
fingers, to get it circulated throughout the entire damaged aria
then
soak up as much as possible with a paper-towel, to leave just a slight wet look
to your work aria . Now mix in your filler, and do your repair.
