Actually many Airlines do allow two boards per bag:irwe wrote:I think you are pushing the limits of "allowable" luggage for most airlines with 2 wide boards. Most airlines limit the kiteboard/surfboard allowance to one board.
How wide is your board? Im concerned about the thinner end of the bag since I will have 2 wide boards.cglazier wrote:I use a Dakine Wedge bag.
It holds my
-hydrofoil board 155 cm
-spotz2 foil and wings
-2 kites
-kitesurfboard (5' 6" North Whip)
and this all totals under 22 kg which is the airline limit.
I bought a sheet of 1/2 inch thick rigid foam (cost under $10) at a building supply store and made extra padding for the bottom of the boards. It is feather light and can be easily cut with a knife.
