Hello everyone !
I'm planning a trip to Kite in Northern Brazil but i have no idea of the prices of renting equipment as well as the best spot to alternate between flat and wavy waters if possible !
I was thinking about Jericoacoara but i'm sure there must be other or cheaper options.
Anyone would have advice for me ?
Thanks a lot !
Robin

Don't know prices, but many rent.
When do you want to go?

In those months your best bet will be Jeri.
It's the end of the wind season.
You can stay in Prea, should be a bit less expensive. And here the Jeri people kite too.

also good...but I think Jeri area a bit better.
Maybe find wind reports from the last weeks and compare it.

To give an answer to people that may have the same question :
I finally went to Jeri in January (the 20th) and I didnt like it. Its a very turistic place, and (very bad luck) there was no wind this year due to El Nina (a humid airflow once every five years). You cant ride right on the front and have to pay to go to the lagoon and its not cheap; Im not even speaking about renting.
Finally, after checking every spot down the coast, I went to Sao Miguel de Gastoso and its just great. Its a small village, its cheap and the spot offers pretty flat waters as well as waves. Great people there, and if you are looking to rent, way cheaper than everywhere else.May be harder to reach, but so worth it !

Thx for the update.
Jeri is known to be very touristic (nice tourists IMO), wonder why you were surprised.
How good was the wind in Gostoso? How many days and how strong?
Would be cool if you could add your sessions to the new session log on this site...will be great info to have for future travelers.
