Hydrofoil board travel bag recommendations?

I'd like to fit 2 Hydrofoil boards plus 2 Hydrofoil masts in one travel bag well padded and keep weight under 50 lbs for least amount of possible charge. There seem to be a few surf bags that might fit the bill except maybe not wide enough or too heavy. I don't need the extra weight of wheels as I can just strap this bag to annother small bag that has wheels. Any suggestions?

I think you are pushing the limits of "allowable" luggage for most airlines with 2 wide boards. Most airlines limit the kiteboard/surfboard allowance to one board. I recently took my Alien Air on a flight with no problems. Board bag Liquid Force 5'4" just barley accommodated width. I strapped and taped my mast to the board and put the foils and fuse in my luggage bag.
Consider taking only one board.

I use a Dakine Wedge bag.
It holds my
-hydrofoil board 155 cm
-spotz2 foil and wings
-2 kites
-kitesurfboard (5' 6" North Whip)
and this all totals under 22 kg which is the airline limit.

I bought a sheet of 1/2 inch thick rigid foam (cost under $10) at a building supply store and made extra padding for the bottom of the boards. It is feather light and can be easily cut with a knife.

How wide is your board? Im concerned about the thinner end of the bag since I will have 2 wide boards.

My MikesLab board is 21 inchs (53 cm) wide.

Strangely my Dakine Wedge bag is 23 inches wide but there was a newer production run of this product which is a bit wider. Dakine doesnt acknoweldge any difference and you won't know which version of the bag you get until you measure it. Some are white also. (My friends and I have several of these bags.)

In my OceanEarth Double bag 6' I can fit in my SS Alien Air, Vanguard 5'4", Mast, fins. Both are 'wide' boards.

I just got back from a Baja surfing/kiting trip, and had great success with the ProLite Travel Bag:

I got the 6'6" length bag, bought a bunch of 6' pieces of pipe insulation from the local Ace hardware store, and used some bubble-wrap I saved from random Amazon purchases.

I packed 3 boards: foil board, Naish Skater, and a 5'10" Lost Puddle Jumper (traditional surfboard), plus my foil components.

The board is well padded and at 25" wide, it is the widest "surfboard travel bag" that my research turned up. I got the 3-4 board option, but there is an option for 2-3 boards. There are a ton of pockets (internal for fins, external for leashes, wets stuff, etc.), but if you were real particular (aka weight snob) you could cut those off and save a few ounces.

Seems really well-built. I had it maxed out to exactly 50lbs, and I carried it through the airport with the shoulder strap. Not easy on the neck, but the stitching looks solid on this one.
