One-strut kite adapted for hydrofoiling ?

Hi all,
One-strut kites seem promising on the paper for hydrofoiling, as zeeko has just designed a the "Air" dedicated to hydrofoiling. I am interested to try the experience with the first of its kind that we can now find at cheap price, i.e. the Airush One (in 9m2 in my case); has anyone of you already tested the "One" with a hydrofoil? appart from the large leading edge which will limit the speed of the kite, it seems promising for carving and waves with a foil, don't you think?

I think you probably have it figured out already. The LE diameter was the easiest change to see between the first and second generation strutless kite from BRM. The C1 had a pretty fat LE with a standard 4 point bridle where the C2 has a thin LE and a 7 point bridle. foiling in waves (if your good enough!) I bet you can have a blast. Trying to get around a course efficiently maybe not.

hydrofoils outpoint everything else regardless of kite. In fact the fat LE might make getting back down wind a bit more fun.

Greg Drexler has written about his preference of matching low aspect foils with low aspect kites, I would say if the price is right on that kite. Why not, and consider that it might be more fun with a med aspect hydrofoil rather than something designed for racing.

Foiling is in its infancy style wise.

Thanks for this wise and rapid answer ; I am a beginner in foil, just staying up on the foil in all directions with gusty conditions, strap or strapless. Hence I just can expect to play with little waves and light carving during some years before real wave riding (for which the One is a good kite...) . I have a foil kite Elf Joker for speed and upwind, so I intend to use the One with both Easy and Wave wings from Ketos (no race wings), when wind or launching kite condition are tricky with the ELF kite. I should have the 9m ONE complete with bar, quite new (because leading edge is fragile and subjected to wear) for about 400 euros.
Any other practice experience with the One+foil would be appreciated before I freeze my decision to buy .
