What do you guys think about the RPM as a kite to be flown with a foil board? I am riding a strapless foil the majority of my time on the water these days and loving every minute of it. I have been flying 2011-2012 north vegas' for the past few years and while I love the constant smooth pull, and fantastic turning speed, I am ready to try something different and get another 4 line kite
Any one have any experience with the RPM paired with a foil? Specifically the old RPMS.....I just picked on a 2012 8m for next to nothing on ikite. What is the pull like on these things?
Any info is appreciated.

Excellent kite, used my 4.5/6 and 8m from 2010 to 2014 (new kites every year) for wave riding and foilboarding. Smooth and fast turning.
Their real drawback is light wind water re-launch which is important with a foilboard as they are being used in their lower range. Also upwind performance is not as good as my present F-One's but not so much of an issue on a foilboard

Yes, very nice for foiling. For light wind relaunch just do reverse relaunch. That works really good in most conditions.

Think it should be great for foiling strapless (aka not racing) when you like a consistent pull
I dont, I prefer the opposite, max depower and range, but simply personal preferences
Regarding being heavier thus bad relaunch - indeed a problem with "normal" freestyle and wavekites for hydrofoiling yes, but unless you are talking about big sizes over 10m2, it does not really matter that much in my experience, and better off having kites you can use with other boards too and not only foiling

Thanks, I appreciate the info. 8m just shipped from Wirghtsville Beach. Looking forward to getting it up in the air. Will post some video when I get a chance. I think it is going to be a great pair. Love a good used kite!

I agree with Peter here. For foiling you will like a fast flying forward kite with great deepower. If you prefere Slingshot as a brand you will be happier with Rally when foiling.

I wouldn´t say one is better than the other. A question of taste I think. For foiling I like both. But I prefer the precise steering of the rpm. And the Rally has even more constant pull than the rpm.
