In the US most homeowners and renters insurance policies cover your personal property when stolen outside your home so you don't need separate kite insurance. That said your deductible might be high and even if not having claims can increase your risk profile and cause your rates to increase...

I'm 63 years old and managed to NOT kill a human, (Yet) ;
and Yes , i want it to stay that way .

What i would do is go open-carry, (gun in exposed holster) to the source of my GPS tracker, with a cell
phone.

The story i give the cops to get them there sooner ; it may or may not differ a little, from actual reality ! :D
If possible , the thief who stole my equipment ; would never know i was there till the cops showed up.
Now if he tried to leave ; that's a different story, and he might end up with a few flat tires accidentally.

A few of you indicate that i might be a Wild-west EGO'd out gun nut ; there is a good chance your
wrong in your assumption. If 3% of the patrons in that Orlando shooting where 50 people died last
week, had concealed carry permits ; i venture to say that the body count would have bin Much lower.
One side effect of legal gun carry in a bar, is that now your Not allowed to get drunk, and must remain
in good contact with reality.
Another example is Pahrump Nv where home invasions are very rare ; that's because Everyone in that
town owns a gun and it would be stupid to break into a guys house because even the neighbors would
join in on the fun stopping them. I started hunting when i was 11 years old ; i have a healthy respect
for what a gun can do to people --- and the owner who doesn't know how or when to use it.

I'm ending this conversation about guns now, (you can believe what ever makes YOU feel secure) ; the GPS
tracing devise for a back-up, is a Very good idea , and has already proven it's worth. :thumb:

There were armed guards at the door, Bille. How many OTHER people died from gun violence that weekend? The answer is less guns, not more.
