New kitesurf world record

Surprised none of the official organisers have posted yet but this Sunday a new world record was set for the most number of kitesurfers to "parade" (the word they use) over a fixed distance (about a quarter mile I think).

The record was set on Sunday afternoon at Hayling Island in the UK.

423 kiters completed the course, besting the 415 record set in Cape Town earlier this year.

I am sure the official organisers will have more info and photos soon.

I sadly missed out as my smallest kite nearby was a 10m and it was light winds. The party the night before, however, was awesome!
