I have 9m and 7m Slash and I'm very happy with them (even having pulleys....) for wave strapless are very confident kites and very predictable in the wave and jumping (not backstalling), I cannot be more happy.....good depower, upwind and the new material is very strong. I've combined with BTB bar which is perfect for me, ATB for me is not confortable at all.
Before I was a little worried if they were powerful like the Neo, but I can confirm has the same power and depower than Parks which is perfect for me, allowing better surf turns and stay only concentrated in the wave ....
Only I miss a bigger one to complete my quiver i.e. 11m, for the moment I keep my 11m Park waiting for the Dash.

I love my 9 m Ride, so my question is: How do you compare the power of the two?
Have you used the ride ? I want to get the slash but not sure about the size . compared to ride.
please let me know if you can enlighten me. Thanx

Hi. Indeed, I used the Naish Ride 8 2016 and obviously is more like a Pivot without the center strut. Compared to the Slash is a little bit more powerful and, as the North Neo, softer in the air. Nevertheless, being the Slash faster you can ride in the same conditions moving the kite in the flight window and creating a lot of apparent wind. The Slash is truly a wave machine, you can ride strapped or strapless with confidence, costantly improving your skill. In this regard the Ride is more a freeride kite with a sufficient drifting ability but way different from a pure wave kite like the Slash. So speaking about the size if your style is "load and go" I suggest you the 9 Slash which has a huge wind range and is comparable in power at the 8 Ride. Otherwise if you are a more active rider the 8 Slash can easily replace the 8 Ride
. I hope this helps.
Cheers
Carlo
