Whatever position of the foil I felt constant diving of the board's nose.
Cant you just shim the stabilizer a bit down then ?
Usually easy
Of course, if the stabilizer is way smaller than the "recommended" one, it will make it more lively yes, but this can be both a good thing as well as a challenging (bad) thing, depending on what you want.
I sometimes use a really small stabilizer with my biggest front wing, simply to have more agility and fun out there

Hi guys I'm hoping someone may be able to help.
ive got a Fluente and loving it and was wandering what would be the differences in ride if I replaced the standard stabiliser with the 330 as they both say that they're suitable for the Fluente.
Cheers

I assume you have the new Fluente with the S325 back wing?
The S330 will make it ride more like the 2016 Fluente, basically giving it more roll and yaw resistance. eg. less agile, but more stable.

BTW - is anybody still missing the cult FR425 or FR450?
Honestly - so far the best choice for wave riding I've ever had. So happy to have the spare ones
I can't say I've missed mine, but nor have I tried or even thought about it in the last 6 months. Maybe it's time to try it out again!

Maybe it's time to give this configuration a test too. What's the worst that can happen?!

Haven't tried yet
Having wide choice of wings in my garage I am leaving to test this tip by somebody else.

Believe or not - for me this is still unbeatable set up for strapless wave board.
However I only use it in waves. Not anymore for freeride.
I dream to see a canard design with FR425 wing - in my feelings it should be very good idea for foil wave riding
Thanks Frank for giving the wing weights

Oops sorry gmb13 , I actually have the 330 already not the 325 , My mistake
After seeing Gunnars review of the 2017 I might try the 325 though.
Many thanks and apologies!

Today I weighed another wing set, the wings that come with the high modulus 111cm beast, the Comet:

Hi Frank,
I finally learned to fly the 2016 Fluente in Mexico with some private lessons, and then did 2 more sessions solo at another spot, Playa Maroma. So I'm all set to get going this spring.
The new struts look straight compared to 2016. Is the fuselage the same? If so, that would change the placement of the strut on the board? can I buy 2017 wings and put them on the 2016 fuse and strut?

Hi Tom,
that is good news!
Yes, the new mast/strut being more straight changes the trim a bit.
The fuselage is the same, so yes, you can mount any 2017 wings to your 2016 foil.
Cheers
