Boost2 or V8-9

Postby s1buell_wl » Sun May 21, 2017 5:25 pm

Looking for a new 15m kite (Air Style Kite)

I have an Ozone edge now 2013 its die`n fast.

Anyone have experience with the FS Boost2 and the Ozone edge? I also have a V8 love the kite but tired of fixing it every week.

I would normally buy another Ozone but I`m really tired of the Their poor quality and quite Frankly scared to invest in another.

Wow... ok....

Anyone else?

Toby what are you running these days? Still on the North? I see they cut the 18m.... What did you do?

I have the Ozone edge 19m 2013 its still holding together. I also still have one 2011 Dyno 18m still alive....

I have the Boost 2 15m and 11m. The 15M is turning and looping super nice due to the trailing edge bridles, probably faster than a 13M Edge. I am also instructing a bit on it and it also did stand the durability test quite a few times. You are getting the 15 M with 6 meter line extensions, which is pretty much perfect for lightwind but for higher winds it will be too long for jumping and the ideal will be ca. 3 or 4 meter extension so I would recomend to splice (cut) that extension to a 4m and 2 piece so you can play around with. Dut to splicing you will end up some 3,8m and a 1,9m extensions. The 11m is also the best kite I found for general freeride and big air. Yesterday I tried a the Bandit X 12, Dice 12 and F-One Furtive 12 in 20-28 knots. Obviously the Boost 2 11m is much better for boosting than the Bandit and the Dice. The Furtive 12 could have been a good kite if it would have 5 strut but it got only 3 strut so it feels likes an Ozone Edge with 3 struts and it flaps like hell and you cant really load a huge jumps on a flapping kite so the 12M is more like a light hydrofoil specific kite.

The rest of little sizes I guess from 10m down are 5 struts. The 12 which I tried was a 3 strut kite.

Can anyone compare the Boost to the Ozone Edge?
