Saw it in action used by Lewis in Cape Town to communicate on the water with 2 of his students this summer. Adds a whole new dimension to teaching!
Just ordered a pair for myself and the wife. She's just beyond the waterstart and it will make a heap of difference to her confidence and progression if we can communicate.
Will see how it goes and if it's a practical gadget...

I think so too, big difference.

I see so many lessons where the student cannot hear anything the instructor is saying...if they could hear all the progress would be faster.

Has anyone actually dealt with this company? Where do they ship from?

I am having some issues with them regarding taxes and shipping costs. Not getting straight answers. If it was not for Lewis' video I would be writing them off as a scam. So has anyone ordered from them yet?

No answer...

I think the free shipping is basically a scam. They charge everyone in Europe 20% regardless of what the actual tax is. When I asked them to invoice me without the VAT Tax (as canaries are outside the EU) they all of a sudden needed me to pay for the shipping. Very suspect communications.

Too bad, as I really want to give these a try for foiling coaching, but I will not be ripped off on shipping and tax.

I wonder if it's because custom/border tax can be complicated to compute, so they will rather let you pay shipping that way you get the bill from custom through the shipping company, it's easier for small company to deal with that stuff that way, and shipping shouldn't be that expensive.

Anyway I have met some instructors who uses those in Caribbean, pretty happy with it.

I used it 1 year ago and it was terrible, lost connection when the other unit was only 200-300m (line of sight over water) away and to get the communication up again you have to synchronise both units together again by pressing different keys in right order and right amount of time to pair the Bluetooth again.

The idea is good and if it would auto connect again when losing the connection it would make the difference between a good product and a useless product.

I know the units (3pcs) was sent back more then 6 months ago for repair and I have not seen it again. Not sure if the where sent back after repair or not.

Seems legit to me, most places in the USA do free shipping to lower 48 and charge a ton for Hawaii. That's kind of the same deal being in the Canaries.
