^Love the polar charts, super helpful in visualizing the the kite characteristics. What's VMG (the inner dotted line) though?
Velocity Made Good ( I wonder who was the copyrigher :-? )

Dyneema and Spectra are, for all intents and purposes, the same thing. Just different brand names for the same stuff.
Yes i realize that ; my question is :
Are they using Spectra , (Woven-Fiber) on the Airush Ultra ?

I think they're using spectra as reinforcement web across panels. the actual canopy material is probably a version of ripstop

There's a whole thread dedicated to VMG. Look half-way down this page.

As the fabric itself? No. The canopy is still Dacron. If you look at the pictures all that criss-cross stuff is Dyneema tape. It allows the canopy fabric to be lighter and the tape supposedly transfers the stress to keep the lighter fabric from stretching.

@ airsurfer & Bushflyr

Thanks !
I kinda thought it was gonna be a reinforcement of some type ; the
woven spectra is SO good, that i doubt they'd need a heavier fabric than
like .5-oz , (16.9 g/m2)
BUT DANG , it would be expensive !!! :(
A one strut LEI, made with 17-g/m2 woven Spectra, would be the Ultimate light-weight kite ;
unless Ya used that fabric to build a Ram-Air !!! :D ---------------------------- :lol:

Not exactly sure but probably around 10-12mph max
The combo of P foil and Ultra is quite a hard one to beat on days like that.
